Walk past the church along the footpath to access these meadows at Pulloxhill.
The area comprises four fields of unimproved neutral grassland containing numerous large anthills, with scattered and dense scrub and old hedgerows on a southeast-facing slope. Grazing by horses takes place all year round and cattle are on the site from spring to autumn. The views from the top of the slope towards Barton and the Chilterns are spectacular on a clear day in all seasons. The Trust provides support to owners, helping to manage the area with a volunteer group, writing a management plan and sits on the management committee. There is a leaflet for the site – copies are available from Pulloxhill PC.
