The western volunteers meet every Wednesday between 10 am & 3 pm, usually at Rushmere Country Park, Heath & Reach. The type of work carried out varies, such as; scrub & bracken clearance, tree coppicing, hedge planting, heathland & meadow restoration, river & pond clearance, even bonfire making! In addition to the conservation work, construction tasks like; installing kissing gates, repairing fencing, building dams and footpath way marking are carried out.The Vole newsletter is produced by Greensand Trust volunteers for their fellow volunteers.
